Srinivas Rao Villa, Bangalore : Independent Houses : On-going Projects

Bangalore Architects, IDEA Centre Architect’s  design follows curvilinear forms that meet to create interesting intersections and meeting points. The Villa has been rendered a ‘handcrafted’ look that incorporates art works and murals on its external façade

There is an internal court yard around which living-dining-bedroom areas are planned. The ‘garden gate’ at the end of the courtyard follows an abstract-art form.

The building is in four levels spreading over Basement, Ground, First, and Second floors. Basement floor is meant for parking and services. Ground floor consists of a dwelling unit for a family where as the first and second floor together form a duplex unit for a second family.

The treatment of external façade using wire-cut bricks and stucco finish gives the villa an earthy look. A conceptual ‘ribbon mural’ wraps around the building that segregates wire-cut brick finish on the upper level from the stucco finish on the lower level façade.
